Kenny embarked on his journey with AJP as a trainee Civil & Structural Engineer in 1996, gaining hands-on experience alongside his university studies. Now, with almost three decades in the industry and a distinguished portfolio of high-profile projects, Kenny brings a wealth of invaluable knowledge and expertise to the leadership team.
 
His unwavering commitment to the business and passion for his profession propelled him to the role of Director in 2015. Kenny's amiable nature, combined with his creativity and comprehensive understanding of site-wide constraints in early assessments has cultivated enduring relationships with numerous returning clients.


As a proud Liverpudlian, Kenny fervently supports redevelopment efforts within the Liverpool City Region, actively seeking opportunities for AJP to contribute to projects that enhance the city's regeneration. He has also represented AJP in various round table discussions, advocating for the retention of graduates and addressing skills gaps in the industry to benefit education providers and the future of engineering.

Pragmatic Design: Kenny's extensive project experience has honed his ability to balance quality and cost-effective solutions, ensuring designs meet both AJP's standards of excellence whilst satisfying the requirements of stakeholders and  relevant bodies.


Innovating and Proactivity: Kenny pioneers technical innovation in building design and was instrumental in our ISO19650 BIM Kitemark accreditation as well as the implementation of 3D ground modelling and drainage simulation software. Kenny also plays a leading role in the development of AJP's early career professionals, as well as advocating for life-long learning to continually enhance the skills and technical capabilities of all AJP employees.

Environmental & Social Responsibility: Kenny is committed to socially and environmentally responsible practices in all areas of the business, from technical designs to his leadership style. He has recently launched a Social Value Strategy for AJP to demonstrate our commitment to enhancing the societal and environmental well-being of the communities we serve.

    Kenny's primary focus is within residential and educational developments. He is renowned for his specialised knowledge in hydrology and drainage design, in particular, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) which aims to mimic the natural drainage processes, reduce flooding, and improve water quality in an environmentally-friendly manner.  As an expert voice in the field, Kenny recently worked alongside United Utilities to develop the framework around the adoption of online SUDS systems. 

  • Hobbies & Interests

    In his spare time, Kenny volunteers to help run a local under-11's football team. Anyone who knows him will also tell you that he is partial to a bit of karaoke!
